About the studio
A workshop, a drawing board, and a lot of tea
Spatialis Living began in 2012 with two joiners, a second-hand panel saw and a stubborn belief that fitted furniture shouldn't look fitted. Today we're a team of eleven — designers, cabinetmakers, an upholsterer and a curtain maker — working from a single workshop so drawings and sawdust stay in the same building.
What we believe, in four short paragraphs
Design that starts with you
We ask about breakfast, bedtime and where the post lands before we ask about finishes. The plan follows the habits, not a catalogue.
Materials we can vouch for
FSC-certified European hardwoods, low-VOC hardwax oils, and offcuts that go back into shelves and samples rather than a skip.
One team, start to finish
The designer who drew your media wall is on site the day it goes in. Nothing is subcontracted out to strangers.
Friendly, plain-spoken advice
If a freestanding piece would serve you better than joinery, we'll say so — even when it means a smaller invoice for us.
The way we work
Slow where it matters, quick where it counts
Timber gets a fortnight in the workshop to settle before a single cut is made — rush that and doors twist by the second winter. But you'll get an emailed answer the same working day, samples within a week, and a two-hour install window rather than a vague morning.
We keep every project's drawings, hardware list and paint codes on file. Five years later, when you want a matching desk or a replacement drawer front, we already know exactly what's in your home.
